Tanya is the Founder and CEO of Above the Tree Line Consulting Group (ATL). She has 20 years of experience in industrial distribution and manufacturing, including 10 years at the executive level. She has worked for Fortune 500 companies such as Grainger, Wesco, GE, and Berkshire Hathaway (Marmon Utility). Prior to founding ATL, Lauer was most recently the Vice President and GM of Fairmont Supply, a full line MRO distributor, specializing in energy companies.

Tanya decided to create Above the Tree Line Consulting Group as she saw an ongoing need for “loving your people” in terms of employee engagement and empowerment. She is passionate about training, inclusiveness, and accountability, and credits her career results to her servant leadership style. Cultural transformation is a particular strength. “Toxic cultures can be eradicated and reshaped (or totally re-created), depending on the vision of the company. This can happen fairly quickly when senior leadership is willing to honestly assess their business and then takes an active role in the transformation process.”

In addition to running ATL, Tanya is also the Chair for a Vistage CEO peer group in the Denver metro area. She was also recently certified in Emotional Intelligence (EQ-I 2.0 +EQ 360). Tanya graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in Business Administration and Management, and is currently pursuing her Masters in Counseling at Colorado University in Denver.  Tanya resides in Monument, CO with her husband, Ward, and their two dogs, Javier and Pedroia. Tanya makes a mean chocolate chip cookie and is known for her chocolate creations and her homemade four layer chocolate cakes.
